1993 Private Reserve Petite Sirah $1.50 for a gallon of good red wine delivered to your home by the grower-winemaker-marketer Emilio Guglielmo. It was one of San Francisco's best wine buys in the late 1930's. That family and that vineyard are still turning out good values 60 years later. Emilio's grandson George Guglielmo made this hardy Petite entirely from old vines grown in that old vineyard. The grapes are few in number (production was less than 1000 cases) but they pack plenty of firepower. In Guglielmo tradition, this is another good value, even though George tells me he's a bit too busy to deliver it to your home. Recommended
