We're talking about wines, not people. When invited to a friend's dinner, what wine to bring? On Wine reader Kirk Stoller asked the question; his budget will allow up to $60 for a bottle.

The Answer

At my Ft. Mason (S.F. City College) classes we occasionally find a wine that every lady and gent rate very good. So they probably will please everyone at a friend's dinner. Here are those winning wines...
