Kitty Morse Kitty Morse was born in Casablanca, Morocco, of an English father and a French mother. After graduating from the Lycee de Jeunes Filles in Casablanca, she emigrated to the United States in 1964. Kitty began cateriug Moroccan parties while she studied for a Master's Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Once a regular columnist for the Los Angeles Times, Kitty now writes regularly for the Times' Foodstyles Syndicate and for the Times' Travel Section. Her recipes have appeared in Bon Appetit, Sunset, Vegetarian Times, Fine Cooking and Prevention among others. Her other cookbooks include The Vegetarian Table: North Africa, Edible Flowers, 365 Way's to Cook Vegetarian, The California Farm Cookbook, and Come with Me to the Kasbah. Morse, who lives and works out of her Moroccan-style home in Carlsbad, California, also takes tours to Morocco for hands-on cooking and cultural classes.
