Martin Yan is the popular and dynamic star of public television's Yan Can Cook, now in its seventh season. This prolific chef, teacher, and entrepreneur is the author of seven earlier cookbooks, including The Chinese Chef, A Wok for All Seasons, and Martin Yan's Culinary Journey Through China.
The two most recent seasons of Yan Can Cook were awarded the prestigious James Beard Awards for Best Television Cooking Show, 1994, and Best Television Food Journalism, 1996. Martin Yan is the recipient, along with Julia Child, of an honorary doctorate from Johnson & Wales University.
